Melissa Berouty
Melissa Berouty is Of Counsel at the Arcé Law Group. She is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia, and is a member of both the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Since joining the firm, Melissa has contributed to litigation teams that have secured notable outcomes for clients, including:
- $5,250,000 settlement for a law firm equity partner asserting claims of quid pro quo sexual harassment.
- $2,000,000 settlement for an associate at a financial institution involving claims of grooming, sexual harassment, and retaliation.
- $1,000,000 settlement for a managing director of a consulting firm who was terminated after reporting unethical business practices.
- $750,000 settlement for a physician who was terminated after raising concerns about patient health and safety.
Before joining the Arcé Law Group, Melissa clerked for the Honorable Lara K. DiFabrizio, where she drafted judicial opinions and gained valuable insight into the decision-making process of the courts.
Melissa earned her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of News for the Journal of Global Rights and Organizations. While there, she was awarded a fellowship at Harvard Law School’s Labor and Work Life Program, researching workplace safety and labor issues in collaboration with a coalition of Attorneys General. This research on worker protections has been cited by the DPCC, NPR, NBC, and CNN.
A former NCAA Division I athlete and coach, Melissa was named an NFCA Academic All-American, recognized as her University’s Athletics Woman of the Year, and nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.
